Laxey House Bird Rescue (LHBR) was founded to fill a much-needed gap in the local area for wild bird rehabilitation. While our aim was to start small, the demand for care quickly grew, and we began taking in more complex cases with the support of local veterinary professionals and an expanding network of wildlife experts.

Today, we care for a wide range of wild bird species and are proud to offer an ethical rescue, rehabilitation, and release service — based in Scunthorpe and reaching far beyond. Our approach prioritises the welfare of every animal, ensuring they receive expert, compassionate care from intake to release.
